Lois Burn, known to her little patients as "Dr. Lello," is an avid gardener, remodeler, and refurbisher -- when she's not working as a pediatrician at Southwestern Medical Clinic in Niles, Michigan. 

Born in South Africa, Lois immigrated with her parents to Southwest Michigan when she was two years old. She grew up pulling weeds and nurturing plants alongside her parents, avid flower and vegetable gardeners.

 For Lois, the garden has always been a place of peace, perseverance and nurture.  When she learned how many studies have shown that the well gardened mind has remarkable effects on our health and well-being, she decided to combine her passion of restoring life in the garden with her role as a pediatrician.
